Make me mobile friendly

Also known as responsive web design, mobile-friendly websites correctly displays on mobile and hand-held devices such as your iPhone or Android as well as your iPads and tablets. These website designs will “respond” to ANY device or display, be it your cell phone or your 46″ LED screen. This makes for a streamlined experience when viewing the website. With Google’s latest update, if your website isn’t mobile first, Google will find your site less relevant in their searches placing you further down in their rankings.

You might say to yourself, “My customers are using their desktop/laptop to look at my website”, au contraire, recent studies have shown that more than half of digital traffic online now comes from mobile devices and through mobile apps. This will depend on your industry, an HVAC company with advertising on their vans will experience greater mobile traffic than a car dealership. It all depends on what the user is trying accomplish… are they trying to grab some quick information to make a phone call at a later date or do quick research based on something they heard or perhaps detailed research on options for a new car? All depends on the user, so why take the chance of having a site that is not mobile friendly? On average, our clients see anywhere from 25-60% of their traffic coming from mobile. Should be reason enough, but consider this…

Neglecting to have a website that is up to web standards (per Google, who controls just about all things “Search” on the internet”) will also negatively impact your overall success in search engines. Not only are your potential customers using mobile devices to search your website they are having difficulty finding your site due to the fact it is ranked lower by Google.

Don’t wait – now is the time to get serious about this web design “option” and we place option in quotes, because it really is no longer an option, but a requirement.
